ChaosGroup have released V-Ray Next for 3ds Max Beta 3, which includes lightening analysis, faster GPU rendering for architecture and more.

Here are the new features you can expect from the V-Ray Next Beta 3:

 

Faster GPU rendering architecture

The V-Ray GPU renderer has been redesigned for faster parallel process and better performance

 

Lighting Analysis

You can now accurately analyse and measure light levels in your scenes. You’ll be able to create data overlays and false colour heat maps to show luminance or illuminance values.

 

Layered Alembic Workflows

V-Ray Next for 3ds Max now supports Alembic 1.7 with layering, which features faster and more efficient handling of Alembic data.

 

GPU Volume Rendering

Now featuring render volumetric effects such as smoke, fog and fire. GPU volume rendering is also compatible with V-Ray Volume Grid, which supports Field 3D, Phoenix FD volume caches and OpenVDB.

 

NVIDIA AI Denoiser

Based on NVIDIA's AI-accelerated denoising technology, V-Ray Next for 3ds Max now features incredibly fast real-time denoising to get the results you want even faster.
