The V-Ray GPU renderer has been redesigned for faster parallel process and better performance
You can now accurately analyse and measure light levels in your scenes. You’ll be able to create data overlays and false colour heat maps to show luminance or illuminance values.
Layered Alembic Workflows
V-Ray Next for 3ds Max now supports Alembic 1.7 with layering, which features faster and more efficient handling of Alembic data.
GPU Volume Rendering
Now featuring render volumetric effects such as smoke, fog and fire. GPU volume rendering is also compatible with V-Ray Volume Grid, which supports Field 3D, Phoenix FD volume caches and OpenVDB.
