With a background in computer science and software development, David is our resident development manager and works on architecting, building and maintaining new software offerings.

In 2003 David started his career in software development for LD Consulting in Belgium. After completing the Maya Comprehensive course at Escape Studios in 2007, David was invited to work back-of-house as a Studio Assistant where he was quickly promoted, within the same year,  to a developer. During his time as a developer at  Escape Studios he was instrumental in developing the website and CRM (Customer Relationship Management) integration; he also created the bespoke LMS (Learning Management System) for the company.

David joined Escape Technology in 2016 where he heads up the development for Sherpa. Sherpa is Escape Technology's Level 2 cloud offering that enables creative studios of any size to seamlessly integrate the cloud with their in-house pipeline. Sherpa is secure, supplier agnostic, helps studios manage costs of projects and allows artists to render at capacity.
