Colour accuracy

With 10-bit colour screens, ColorEdge displays can show over a billion colours simultaneously. As well as 99% of Adobe RGB, they reproduce over 90% DCI-P3 and 100% Rec. 7090, EBU and SMPTE-C standards. You can set the screen to show up to the monitor’s full 10-bit greyscale range for fine editing work.

EIZO’s patented technology ensures that brightness and chromaticity are consistent right to the edge of the screen, viewable without glare from nearly any angle. The CG Series monitors also come with a hood to keep external light sources out, and back-lit buttons for ease of use in darkened rooms.

Consistent performance

Unique to the CG Series, an in-built calibration sensor simplifies the task of calibrating your machine. All ColorEdge monitors come with colour management software that can be used on Windows, Mac and Linux. The networking functionality enables administrators to manage all the ColorEdge monitors in a network centrally, potentially saving hundreds of hours of work.

Consistency and reliability are central to the EIZO offering. They make their products in their own factories and individually adjust the RGB colour characteristics of each monitor. A five-year warranty on all components comes as standard, as well as a brightness and colour warranty for the first 10,000 hours.

4K resolution

The CG318-4K stands out for its 4K resolution, large 31” screen and 1500:1 contrast ratio. Representing 98% of DCI-P3, this is the ultimate tool for colour-accurate, highly detailed work. Brightness, chromaticity and tone characteristics are stabilised in just three minutes – as opposed to the half hour you’d expect from other monitors.

The CG248-4K presents 4K resolution on a 23.8” screen, while the CG2420 has an HD screen but is slightly larger at 24.1”. These screens also stabilise very rapidly, so you can get to work faster.
