EditShare’s XStream storage solutions enable creative teams to collaborate on multimedia projects and manage petabytes of data without limitation.
Used in industries including post production, visual effects, and broadcast, XStream storage can act as a stand alone solution or be combined with an established NAS, giving you the flexibility to expand with minimum hassle. Each product in the range is compatible with Flow – EditShare’s innovative production asset management platform (PAM) – to streamline your workflow.
The XStream range of scale-out storage solutions is built on the EditShare File System (EFS). EFS has been specifically tailored to meet the demands of media production environments by unifying your media files within a single name space, and can be deployed on top of your existing NAS to provide a high-level of throughput performance.
Developed for high-end finishing environments, the EFS SSD is a 2U rack unit that can be expanded from 24TB all the way to 5PB using high speed SSDs. It has been designed for studios using uncompressed 4K and HDR video assets to enable team collaboration on large files with no constraints.
The EFS 450 has been designed for the most intensive media workflows. Featuring 16-drive storage nodes in 1.5U of rack space, each node achieves read/write speeds of up to 2GB/s.
Delivering a high-level of performance in a 3U form factor, the EFS 300 is designed for large scale projects and can be scaled from a single 32TB node to a fully expanded 5PB cluster.
The ideal solution for start-ups, the EFS 200 is a cost-effective storage solution that takes up only 2U of rack space and can be expanded to 960TB.
The EFS Field 2 is a portable shared storage unit ideal for start-up environments or instant in-the-field collaboration projects. This portable storage solution can be configured from 8TB to 10TB using HDD or 32TB with SSD. It features four Ethernet ports for direct connections to workstations and is compatible with EditShare Flow PAM.
