Chaos Group has released V-Ray Next for 3ds Max, featuring faster GPU rendering, an AI denoiser, and redesigned physical cameras all giving users smarter, faster rendering.

V-Ray Next for 3ds Max released

Adaptive Dome Light

By integrating variance-based adaptive sampling and V-Ray’s adaptive light algorithm to the new adaptive dome light, V-Ray Next for 3ds Max can achieve up to 7x faster image-based environment lighting.

Point and shoot camera

A newly redesigned physical camera for V-Ray Next means that users are able to set exposure and white balance automatically.

2x faster GPU rendering

New rendering architecture has been implemented to give users up to 2x faster rendering speeds.

GPU-accelerated volume rendering

Users are now able to render realistic fog, fire, smoke, and other volumetric effects even faster with the additional speed of V-Ray GPU.

Interactive AI denoiser

Rendering noise can now be removed instantly using V-Ray’s new NVIDIA AI-accelerated denoiser.

Lighting analysis tools

Accurately measure light levels to render false colour heat maps and light value overlays with the new lighting analysis tools.
