V-Ray 5 for 3ds Max released and Maya 5 in beta

All the features from the last post have been fine tuned and V-Ray 5 for 3ds Max is ready.

Now Maya is now getting the same treatment with an updated frame buffer, VFB2, as well as all the other new features such as LightMix, ACES integration, faster V-Ray proxies, and a whole load more.

3ds Max is usually first to get the latest release, quickly followed by Maya and then the many other packages that Chaos Group support will be released in time.

The Chaos Group team has really created an amazing amount of content to go along with these releases, you’ll find plenty of resources on their website including installation guides, examples of all features, detailed tutorials, and courseware.

V-Ray is now available as part of the V-Ray Collection, which includes all V-Ray products (excluding Nuke and Katana) as well as V-Ray scans, PhoenixFD, and Lavina.
