We’re Growing
After a successful 18 months, Escape Technology is expanding its services and sales teams, hiring three talented individuals to fill pivotal roles at the company.
This month we welcome John Stopforth, Becks O’Byrne and Pete Medrow to the team and we couldn’t be more excited!
Mark Cass, Managing Director shares “As we continue to expand it's imperative that we hire the right staff for the roles we have available. In Pete, John and Becks we have three industry experts in their field and we are very happy that they are part of the Escape team.”
Pete Medrow
VFX pipeline guru, and technical director, Pete Medrow joins as Senior Pipeline Developer at Escape. Pete brings a tremendous amount of experience, having worked at both large and mid-sized international post production houses on titles including: Quantum of Solace, Happy Feet, The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, Stan and Ollie, The Two Popes, Yesterday and most recently Philippa Lowthorpe’s Misbehaviour. Pete will be working alongside CTO Lee Danskin and his team to ensure that Escape’s services and consulting business offers only the best to ever growing client roster.
Lee “I am really pleased to announce that Pete Medrow will be joining us at this very exciting time here at Escape. His wealth of knowledge and approach to pipeline development ensure that we will be able to further consult, advise and support our clients so that they have optimal pipelines.”
Pete ”I’m really looking forward to working with Lee and the team across the wide scope of creative industries Escape caters for. I'm particularly excited to have the opportunity to be involved in technologies at the forefront of the industry. I look forward to being able to work with, and problem solve with, a diverse mix of clients who are doing incredible work."
John Stopforth
John Stopforth joins as Head of Education to further expand Escape's position within the creative industry education sector. John’s experience is extensive. Having held positions across the commercial and education sectors since 1992, he fully understands the creative and technical challenges facing educators today. John firmly believes that students should be given everything they need in order to be commercially ready once they graduate - find out more about how he achieved this at Doncaster College, using SCR GIC's funding scheme for R&D initiatives. John’s unique set of skills and passion for technology make him ideal for this role, and he looks forward to sharing this knowledge and experience with all our clients in the creative educational sector.
Jason “I'm delighted to announce the appointment of John Stopforth as Head of Education at Escape Technology. John's knowledge of the higher education sector is second to none, and his energy, enthusiasm and experience in delivering complex projects in this space make him the natural choice to sharpen Escape's focus in this area. With John's contribution I look forward to being able to offer a wider range of technology services and expertise to our education customers, and to ensure that Escape continues to be the first choice technology partner for creative industry educators.”
John "Why join Escape? It’s like coming home. When I started my career in the 90s I found myself working with Mark and Lee when they were at Alias | Wavefront, so when the Sheffield City Region funded VFX project got us all working together again I knew where I wanted to be next. I’ve had an amazing time working with and developing a Creative Technologies lecturing team at Doncaster College but the time has come for me to challenge myself again. I cant wait to get started working with JJ and the team at Escape Technology to put solutions into the wider education communities to enable the workforce of tomorrow to be equipped with the world’s leading edge technology solutions."
