Lee Danskin to talk at VES Society Exclusive Preview Screening of Our Robot Overlords

We are delighted to announce that our very own Lee Danskin will presenting at the latest VES (Visual Effects Society) event on behalf of Chaos Group where they are hosting an exclusive preview screening of Our Robot Overlords followed by a panel discussion with special guests.

This exciting new movie has been directed by Jon Wright and features Sir Ben Kingsley, Gillian Anderson, Callan McAuliffe and Ella Hunt, with visual effects by Nvizible.
An outstanding industry panel will be there throughout the evening comprising:


Lee Danskin
Technical Director at Escape Technology

Lee has over 25 years of experience in the high-end graphics business within M&E. He was on the development team at Alias|Wavefront for Maya and he was awarded Maya Master status in 2007. He has held numerous positions at other facilities, such as Deputy Head of 3D at The Moving Picture Company, Head of 3D at Smoke + Mirrors, Training Development Director at EscapeStudios and CG supervisor at the Film Factory.


Piers Tempest
Producer at Tempo Productions
Piers, along with Jo Bamford, is a founding partner of Tempo Productions. His producer credits include Oyster Farmer, Like Minds, Grabbers, Killing Bono, The Caller, Coffin Rock, When Will I be Loved and Robot Overlords.


Paddy Eason
VFX Supervisor at Nvizible

As a graduate of Bournemouth University's National Centre for Computer Animation, Paddy has been working in digital film effects in London for over 20 years. With an extensive credit list of 70 titles, Paddy worked at London's biggest facilities prior to setting up Nvizible.


Steve Christian at Pinewood Pictures

Steve Christian is responsible for coordinating the investment advice to the Isle of Man Treasury Film and Television Fund and Welsh Government’s Media Investment Budget available through Pinewood Pictures.


Andrew Reid
Head of Production at Northern Ireland Screen

Andrew is responsible for the investment of Northern Ireland Screen’s £10.4m annual development, production and skills funds. In 1997 Andrew was one of the first members of staff to be recruited for the newly created Northern Ireland Film Commission - now Northern Ireland Screen.


About the Moderator

Brooke Lyndon-Stanford Co-Founder, Atomic Arts and Board Member, VES

Brooke formed his vfx business, Atomic Arts, almost 20 years ago with Justin Cornish. Based in London's West End in the UK, it remains a boutique facility, specialising in movie effects, yet also creating animation and vfx for advertising (e.g. Turner is a long standing short format client), events (e.g. they created all the animation for a 10,000 pixel wide 30 minute long show for the King of Dubai shown on a 600 ft wide screen) & long format television (e.g. they did the vfx on the Discovery series Stephen Hawking's The Grand Design).

Brooke is also the first UK member of the Visual Effects Society ever elected to the Board of Directors.
