As part of Access:VFX’s careers day on 27th September, Lee will run a series of one-hour long workshops to train young people on the basics of Autodesk Maya - a 3D modelling package used in the creation of VFX.
“These kind of events are really important for the future of the industry,” Lee comments. “Plenty of young people don’t know that visual effects is a viable career path, and what we do at this careers day will help show them how they can get involved in film, TV, games and more.”
Access:VFX is a cross-company initiative founded by leading VFX businesses, educational organisations, and industry bodies. It launches with a week-long programme of events on 25th September to coincide with National Inclusion Week, a government backed annual campaign focused on raising awareness of inclusion and diversity in the workplace.
