HP has unveiled their new cutting edge Z series workstations. And they’re more powerful than ever.
The Z8, Z6, and Z4 enjoy a sleek new design and tool-less chassis that makes upgrading and servicing quick and easy. Each model can be outfitted with Thunderbolt 3 ports as well as dual 1GbE ports to support high-bandwidth data transfer.
Sitting at the top of the performance stack is the Z8. Featuring a new internal layout, HP has made the most of the space by moving the power unit to the side. Using the latest Skylake processors, and with the ability to run twinned Intel Xeon Platinum 8180 chips, this new top-of-spectrum machine boasts 28 cores/56 threads with support for 1.5TB RAM. What’s more, the new machine is capable of supporting three NVIDIA P6000 GPUs.
A notch down from the Z8 is the HP Z6 workstation. Designed with the ever-changing needs of VFX artists in mind, it supports the latest professional graphics for effortless performance in demanding workflows. Both the Z8 and Z6 support dual CPUs and an optional dual 10 GbE network module for high-speed networking.
Finally, the Z4 is ahead of its time with more features in a smaller chassis. Offering upgrade options never before available in an HP single-processor workstation, users across a broad range of markets can choose their ideal configuration to meet performance requirements.
