British Racing Greats 2024: Supporting Special Effect and Solving Kids' Cancer

Following a massively successful maiden event in 2023, we're excited to support British Racing Greats once again in it's sophomore year. The fundraising event is celebration of all things speed, bringing together the video games industry and motoring enthusiasts in support of two fantastic causes: Special Effect and Solving Kids' Cancer.

Backed by industry figureheads like Sumo Digital and Playground Games, British Racing Greats is a event project produced in tandem with Supercar Driver, a team known for their 'Secret Meets' where members all come together to get up close and personal with the greatest and most elusive road and racing cars.

In their first event alone, British Racing Greats raised more than £100,000 for the charities, but things aren't stopping there. The next event is set to take place on September 19th and 20th at the legendary Goodwood Motor Racing Circuit, a historic track that couldn't be more suited to the meet. British Racing Greats also provides more than just fundraising to the charities it supports: the first event also provided children fighting cancer with a day out with their families, creating unforgettable memories.

Our very own Account Director Neil Parmar is an advocate for both British Racing Greats and Special Effect, and  said regarding the event:

'There's more of an overlap than you might realise when it comes to racing enthusiasts in the games industry. British Racing Greats combines this industry-wide passion with two fantastic causes that both make real differences for families and gamers alike.

Coming from a Special Effect ambassador and representative of Escape Technology, we couldn't be prouder to support such an exciting event and important cause.'

British Racing Greats takes place on the 19th-20th September this year, with more details to follow.
