Over the past few months our industries have been tested. Almost everyone has experienced a change in the way we work – practically, emotionally, and technologically – and we’re unlikely to see a shift back to the way things were for a little while yet. But this period has opened up a realm of possibilities in the world of remote working.
It’s a difficult time, but Escape Technology remains open for business. We want to reassure all of our friends and customers that we can still ship goods and equipment, and we’re taking every precaution to keep our people safe while we do it.
Incredibly, another year has gone by in the blink of an eye and again I find myself thanking all of our customers, suppliers, and industry bodies for your support once more.
Before we all get caught up in the Christmas festivities we want to take a moment out. Mental health has been on the global agenda this past year and here at Escape we want to do our bit to help.
In an age where consumer expectations are so high for visual beauty and realism, every production company, every FX artist, looks for a creative advantage. Software has become so sophisticated and the talent around the world continues to push for visual excellence.
We’ve now moved into our new offices on Clipstone Street in what has been our third move since 2012. It’s been motivated primarily because of the expansion of our teams. Like many small businesses the option of doing nothing is not an option!
Escape Technology has grown at a remarkable pace these last few years and we’ve outgrown our space in London for the second time since moving into the centre of town. This time we’re leaving the south side of Oxford Street for the north - Clipstone Street will be our new home.
Another year has shot by and again I find myself thanking all of our customers, suppliers, and industry bodies for their - your - support!
We all know that a good sysadmin/engineer is very hard to find. At Escape Technology we’ve been lucky enough to employ industry engineers who have lived and breathed VFX and post production for many years. However, it’s incredibly difficult to find people coming out of university with the right knowledge for this diverse and challenging job.
For many years Escape Technology has been involved in the CG industry - from our early days as part of Escape Studios to establishing a standalone services business in 2012. And it’s important for us to give back.
