Escape Technology has partnered with Qumulo to offer their scale-out file storage system to the media industry.
A highly scalable file storage system, Qumulo file fabric (QF2) spans both the data centre and public cloud. QF2 is able to scale billions of files and features real-time analytics that enable administrators to manage data easily, no matter how large the footprint of your storage or where it is located globally.
Qumulo’s scale-out file system is unique in that it has been developed to address modern data challenges and enable customers to utilise both on-premises and cloud resources within a unified solution. QF2 can also be installed across a range of cost-effective hardware platforms to give users flexibility and control of their storage estates.
QF2 features cloud instances and computing nodes that work together to form clusters, which are scalable in performance and use a single unified file system. These clusters work together to form a highly connected storage fabric which can be distributed globally. This is all tied together with continuous replication and users are able to interact with clusters within any industry standard file protocols, the QF2 REST API, and a web-based GUI.

Qumulo will be exhibiting at the NAB show in Las Vegas this year, demonstrating the power of QF2 in the first modern and scalable all-flash file storage system. The demonstration will be using QF2’s Qumulo P-series all-flash instances and will be built from the latest off-the-shelf, commercial components including state-of-the-art NVMe, Intel Xeon Gold (Skylake-SP) CPUs, and dual 100GbE and 40GbE QSFP+ NICs.
