More great announcement from the exhibition floor at Siggraph - Chaos Group release the newest addition to their product range, V-Ray for NUKE. For those of you who weren’t quick enough to get on the beta cycle, now you can grab a licence for yourself.
With this new tool compositors can utilise V-Ray's lighting, shading, and rendering tools when working inside NUKE's node-based workflow - a welcome new approach to lighting and compositing for fully integrated ray traced rendering into NUKE and NUKEX.
Some highlights you can look forward to:
- Unify the pipeline between NUKE and 3D artists - dramatically improving your workflow at all stages of production.
- Get multithreaded CPU rendering, highly optimised and adaptive ray tracing, and precise path traced global illumination.
- With full control of 3D scenes in NUKE compositors can match 2D footage and 3D renders simultaneously.
